Graham Potter’s stint at Chelsea has not gone as well as fans would have hoped.
Chelsea are currently sat 9th in the Premier League ahead of the weekend’s action. The Blues are struggling for goals and have scored the fewest of the top 11 clubs in the division.
They are also 10 points adrift of a Champions League place, with a top-four finish in 2022/23 looking very unlikely.
This has seen speculation mount over Potter’s future at Stamford Bridge. And now, ahead of facing West Ham, Potter has been discussing the possibility of being sacked:
“My relationship has been consistent with [the owners]. We understand where we both are, where we see the team. We are working really well to keep improving,” Potter told reporters ahead of the Blues matchup against West Ham on Saturday.
“The expectations have always remained the same, a team that ultimately wins. We know there is opportunities to make changes to the team when the window is open.
I’m not stupid. If the results aren’t what this club should get, then I understand, if I’m the reason for it then that’s the job.”
