Aston Villa attacking midfielder, Phillipe Coutinho, is set for a shock transfer move to Galatasaray.
According to The Sun, Galatasaray are interested in signing Coutinho on loan from Aston Villa for the remainder of the season.
The Turkish giants want to bring in Coutinho before the Turkish transfer window closes on Wednesday.
The report added that Galatasaray are seeking an initial loan deal but may be open to negotiating a permanent agreement further down the line for Coutinho as Aston Villa would be looking to recoup a part of the £17 million that they initially spent on the former Bayern Munich star in the summer.
Coutinho has struggled to implement himself within the Villa squad so far this season.
The former Barcelona and Liverpool star has been restricted to just six Premier League starts during the campaign.
With Coutinho being one of the club’s highest earners at Villa, there are hopes they will be able to sort out a transfer for the 30-year-old within the next week.
